Experiment Follow Up #4 – Neil Shearing 10 Day Cash Secret

Experiment FailedHey all…

I think I have to call this a failure officially now…

Here are some stats for you…

Blog #1… Started March 8th (16 days ago). Total hits – roughly 245 as of today according to StatCounter. Average of 8 visits a day with 17 page views. 38 clickthroughs to my affiliate from the blog.

Blog #2… Started March 9 (15 days ago). Total hits – roughly 31 as of today according to StatCounter. Average of 2 visits a day with 4 page views. 9 clickthroughs to my affiliate from the blog.

Blog #3… Started March 10 (14 days ago). Total hits – roughly 257 as of today according to StatCounter. Average of 8 visits a day with 17 page loads. 10 clickthroughs to the affiliate.

Money earned – $0. Money spent on the 10 Day Cash Secret program – $99.

Doesn’t seem like money well spent to me. What about you?

I think I’m going to let this run up to the first week of April and then request a refund (would be within the 30 days) from Neil if it continues to go this route.

Hope somebody else is having better luck.

10 Day Cash Secret With No Cash = Experiment Failure?

Experiment FailedHey there…

So it appears I’m getting some hits a day on two of my three sites that are using Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret plug-in for WordPress. And occasionally I’m getting click throughs to my affiliate links.

None of this has translated to a single sale however.

This is now day 13 for blog 1, day 12 for blog 2, and day 10 for blog 3 I believe. So using Neil’s formula and plan, I would expect to see some sales (even just one) from one of these three niches. I don’t believe I’ve picked bad niches. And I understand that not all niches make money. But one of these three diverse areas should have generated one sale you’d think if Shearing’s pattern worked and was reproducible on a regular basis.

That doesn’t appear to be the case. I’m going to let these blogs continue to run until next Monday to see if they need more time to sink in, but I’m doubtful at this point that it will pay off.

Seems I will most likely be requesting a refund within 30 days if this doesn’t pan out, which is a bummer, but it happens. And this may just be one of those cases where “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”. There are no get rich schemes that work. (Except winning the lottery, and I’ve not had any luck with that.)

So at this point I’m probably going to end up declaring this experiment a failure.

Has anyone actually made any money using this process? (Besides Neil?)

Experiment Follow up #3 – Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret

ExperimentHi all…

A quick update on this St. Pat’s day for my experiment regarding Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret…

(Note that I’m currently out of town on a business trip, so this isn’t going to be as detailed as my last couple of posts… sorry. I hope to detail things quite a bit once I get back home next week.)

It’s been 10 days since I created my first site using Neil Shearing’s feed tool. Since then it has been indexed and I am getting hits, but have had no sales.

It’s only been 9 days since my second blog was created and 8 days since the third was created, and both of those have also been indexed and are getting hits, but have had no clicks converted to sales.

I have three very different niches — stuffed animals, wines, and college basketball/football merchandise for various teams in the NCAA. The one that has garnered the most interest is the last one, with March Madness making people start foaming at the mouth in certain parts of the U.S. (I too have this disease, which is what made me think of it as a good niche.)

So though I’m hopeful that people will start purchasing via my three blog tests, it’s not looking great. Shearing offers a 30 day guarantee, so I’m going to watch my time carefully and see if anything comes of this experiment. Hopeful but wary I guess would be the best way to describe my current view of these blogs.

That said, since I’m away from home for a while I’m going to let things go until next Monday and then see where they’re at.

Has anyone else had any luck using Neil’s system? I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Thanks

–Fitz

Are you in on Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret yet?

Hey all…

Neil & Linda Shearing's 10 Day Cash Secret

I’ve been writing about Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret for the last few posts… If you’re looking to pick it up and get going with it, you can click here

Neil Shearing is working out the kinks (it’s a piece of software — there are ALWAYS kinks — take it from me as a software engineer), but it works pretty well right out of the box which is saying something.

Yes, I’m still waiting for my riches to roll in. But I’m happy with the results so far. Except for the income stream (and I’m not quite to the 10 day mark yet), I have been quite pleased with it!

So be sure to check it out and read the FAQ which was added just a few days after the 10 Day Cash Secret program went live. Neil’s been extremely active on the FAQ, adding new tidbits of information nearly daily. And when I had problems, he was right there in the support forum helping me out.

Definitely worth checking out this program on your own. And I’d love to hear about your own experiments with it.

Good luck!

Experiment Follow Up #2 – Neil Shearing 10 Day Cash Secret

ExperimentHey all…

So I’m a day early, but wanted to update you… (If you have no clue what I’m talking about, you can check out the first two posts in this series… Experiment Testing Out Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret and Experiment Follow Up #1.

  • Site 1 – indexed by Google with 1 keyword search… no sales yet after 6 days
  • Site 2 – not indexed, no hits, no sales yet after 4 full days
  • Site 3 – indexed, 2 keyword hits from Google, no sales yet after 3 full days

What’s funny to me is I created Site 2 before I created Site 3 (not a brilliant deduction there, since 2 does come before 3), yet Site 3 has been indexed and is receiving search hits before site #2.

This is my guess… Site 3 is still being updated, therefore the pingers are pinging and the sitemap is being recreated regularly. Site 2 has gone through all of the items in the affiliate feeds and is done updating. Site 1 is also done with all the items in the affiliate feeds and is done updating (I’m waiting for another affiliate to approve my application so I can add another feed to it).

That said… Shearing talks about updating the site every 5, 10, 15 minutes… But in the FAQ he recently put up, he’s changed his mind and is going every hour. This makes a lot of sense. So if you have a lot of items, you can go more frequently or go frequently at first and then gradually increase the time between posts. Maybe do the first 100 or so at 5 minute increments, but then increase it to 30 minutes or an hour between posts thereafter.

Wish I’d thought of that a lot earlier!

Anyway… If you’re using Neil Shearing’s process, let me know how your results are going. I’d love to hear from you!

Experiment Follow Up #1 – Neil Shearing 10 Day Cash Secret

ExperimentHi all!

Thought I’d update you on my progress with the 10 Day Cash Secret experiment…

I have created three separate sub-domains with three separate feed-related blogs. The one I created on Friday (3/7), another I created early (2am) Sunday (3/9) morning, and a final one I created yesterday (3/10). These are all three in separate niches using feeds from Shareasale using three to five separate product feeds.

So far following Neil’s directions, the first one I created on Friday has been indexed. The other two have not yet. I have submitted all three to Google, Yahoo, and Live Search separately as well as StumbleUpon, which has brought in a few visitors already. No real traffic to speak of beyond that generated by StumbleUpon however.

I am hopeful for an affiliate sale in the first 10 days of each of the three sites. For those in the studio audience keeping score, it looks like this so far:

  • Site 1 – indexed by Google, no sales yet after three full days
  • Site 2 – not indexed, no sales yet after 2 full days
  • Site 3 – not indexed, no sales yet after 1 full day

There you have it. I will update everyone again on Friday (3/14, giving 3 more days) and then sometime on Monday (3/17), which would be 10 days since Site 1 went live.

Note that any posts next week, including the one Monday may be delayed as I am out of town on business for my job. But I’ll do my best to see that results get posted.

Thanks for reading!

Experiment testing out Neil Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret…

Hi all…

I’ve purchased Neil & Linda Shearing’s 10 Day Cash Secret program to see how it works. Relatively low price and simple process sucked me in, so that’s one plus for the program so far.

Neil & Linda Shearing's 10 Day Cash Secret

Using the steps and tools from the program, I’ve created a blog using an affiliate feed and the 10 Day WordPress plug-in, so we’ll see how it goes. I set it up yesterday, March 7. So we’ll see if I’ve made any money by March 17th (St. Pat’s day, which should be lucky for me being Irish!).

Has anyone else tried out Shearing’s process? I ran into a few glitches here and there, but got it working with some work and help from Shearing’s support site. So I’ll be curious to see how this works out.

The process is simple enough that you can set up a number of blogs pretty quickly, which would then start steamrolling your profits hopefully.

So we’ll see how this goes. I’m curious as to results anyone else has seen with these tools and this process. Let me know and we can compare notes!

Virtually Foolproof Method of Choosing Slam Dunk Markets

Hi there…

Discover an expert that has entered and profited from 17 radically different markets successfully in the past 2 years.

Yes, that’s right. I said 17 different markets. Not just 17 different products….17 different
audiences. This means his lists do not crossover in these markets.

He quietly enters a market…peeks inside the heads of customers and competitors…and builds an irresistible marketing machine.

And he does it over and over again in different markets.

He did a 65 minute interview with Terry Dean where he shared his system of finding profitable markets, examining from the inside out, and then making sure he was going to be successful before he ever entered the market.

They even get down to the nitty gritty where they discuss some ways to estimate just how profitable a market will be…and compare the difference between niche markets and general interest markets.

How to pick the right one for you personally…

There’s been a debate going online about niche markets versus large general interest markets.

Here’s a little secret. Of his 17 markets, he has some of both which are quite profitable.

There are reasons to enter each one…

Find out more here: Click HERE!

The price is only $7. I know this is ridiculously low…and you may be wondering just how valuable it is when I’m sharing it for this price.

It’s simple really. If I can help you find a profitable market for your business…you’re going
to have more money to buy my other products and services.

Once you see just how much you can learn from this simple low cost product, you’ll be first in line for all my other offers. I’m building a list of buyers…instead of just a list of subscribers.

Why should you jump on it now? There are two reasons. The first is there is a 100% commission affiliate program on it for the moment (not promising if I will leave it this high). Only buyers can participate in the program.

You can promote the product to your list for as long as I have it available from my site and you keep all the money.

The 2nd reason why you should take advantage of this now is because of how much it will save you by helping you choose the right market. If you’ve ever chosen a wrong market (sometimes referred to as a niche), you know just how costly of a mistake that is.

Save yourself the time…the frustration…and the expense by knowing exactly what to look for…and how to compare different markets.

The price is only $7.

Sincerely,
Terry Dean

DRM and the MP3 market

Hi all…

Those of us who are Amazon affiliates may or may not have seen that Amazon has recently launched a beta for their MP3 service (http://www.amazonmp3.com) or you can check out my store here.

But what is interesting is the recent shift of all the major MP3 vendors, such as iTunes and Napster and eMusic to DRM-free MP3s. And with the shift of some of the popular bands like Radiohead starting to drift away from the huge management/production companies and offering their products directly to the consumer, I think we’ve only seen the beginning.

Video is in a similar predicament, though we’re pretty early in that cycle. If you look at Amazon’s Unbox service, which I use, I think it’s pretty cool. Some of the major networks are moving away from the iTunes model and going towards other vendors or even rolling their own. I know NBC has their own shows on their website.

Here’s an example of Amazon’s Unbox service: here

So if you’re marketing MP3s as part of your service, I think DRM-free is the way to go. iTunes philosophy of Apple or nothing has started working against them. As a non-iPod MP3 player owner (I have a Sansa), I have struggled with iTunes as a consumer. You have a great selection there, but you’re limited to using it on an Apple MP3 player unless you can find a way to manipulate the files to get them in a simple MP3 format. The MP3 market is great for individual websites and business owners if you’re affiliated with one of the larger markets. I think Amazon has a great model. It’ll just be interesting to see how things shake out to see how the DRM backlash continues.

Until next time…

Enjoy!
